Many people think that stiffness, painful joints, or a lack of energy are simply "part of getting older." Although the body changes over the years — connective tissue becomes less elastic and recovery capacity decreases — this does not mean you have to learn to live with pain and/or discomfort.

Osteopathy looks at the entire body. An osteopath views the body as one interconnected whole. Especially in older adults, complaints are often the result of an accumulation from the past, such as old injuries, accidents, and surgeries.

When one part of the body does not move well, another part must compensate. As we age, the body has fewer reserves to absorb these compensations, which can lead to pain and fatigue.

Common complaints in our clinic:

Joint complaints: Stiffness in the back, neck, hips, or knees
Neck and shoulder pain
Digestive issues: Such as constipation or bloating
Headaches
Preventative care

The treatment is fully adapted to your personal situation and medical history.

If we suspect underlying conditions that we cannot treat, or if there are signs that further investigation is required, we will always refer you to a general practitioner (GP) or specialist. Your health comes first — and collaboration with other healthcare professionals is essential.
